News: James wins at the Wildlife 'Oscars'

Congratulations to James Brickell on winning what is known as the 'Oscars of Wildlife Filming'. The BBC series 'Life in Cold Blood' won the prestigious best of festival award ('The Golden Panda') at Wildscreen. It was up against the best wildlife series from across the world. James celebrated with Sir David Attenborough and the other three producers.

James is currently filming with Steve Backshall. He has moved from the relatively sedate world of an Attenborough series to the role of series director on a all-action adrenalin-filled production called 'deadly60'. James and his crew have been all over the world with star presenter Steve Backshall on the hunt for deadly animals. Their adventures have taken them from Great White Sharks of the Cape Coast to abandoned caves in Australia on the hunt for Ghost Bats. He's halfway through filming and has had some close calls, none more scary than a surprise run in with a stroppy hippo in South Africa. In November he and the crew will be in the swamps of Louisiana and then on to Bahamas diving with Tiger Sharks. James is also an excellent after dinner speaker and highly suitable for educational events. Fantastic images and footage are shown during his talks.
